Since the 1990s Ferrin Winery has been passionately committed to increasing its environmental awareness since it joined “EMAS” (European Eco-Managment and Audit Scheme) developed by the European Commission for companies and other organizations to evaluate, report and improve environmental performance.

Ferrin’s passion for wine production is not only about enology but also eco-compatibility.  The first step they took was the reduction of pesticides, chemicals often used to help fight vine diseases.

Making environmentally friendly wine means making a daily commitment to eco-sustainability - a continuous work in progress… from the implementation of solar panels to the no-weeding policy in the vineyards.

Located in a resurgence area where water is considered an extremely precious commodity Vini Ferrin has always opted for intelligent water consumption and recently installed a closed circuit for cooling the barrels to minimize waste, practiced in the vineyard and the cellar.
