Meet us in Faedis, on the Colli Orientali del Friuli, where the land has its own flavor, that of warm
Refosco red. For generations our wines have been the fruit of passionate labor – taking care of
the vines with expertise and love, keeping environmental impact to a minimum while making
our wines in the traditional Friulian way.
Di Gaspero began in 1930 when our grandparents, Eugenio and Luigia, decided to start the
business. Then passed it down to their children, Giosuè and Mario, whom with passion and
dedication passed it down to me, Flavia and my cousin Umberto. In this way, with the same love
and passion with which our grandparents started this company, we now cultivate 12 hectres of
what were once “dreams”, and are now our precious and beloved wine.

With minimal environmental impact we harvest by hand. We have our native wine varieties
such as Refosco di Faedis (our war horse) and Schioppettino, the reds, and Verduzzo, Picolit and
Friulano, the whites. We are also rather proud of our Pinot Bianco and Pinot Grigio, which grow
on a vine only a short distance from the cantina in a zone known as The Quarry for its closeness
to the quarry once used for mining stones.
