Our viticulture business “Ferruccio Sgubin”, which takes its name from our father and 93 year old grandfather, who still lovingly labors over the vines, was founded in 1960 in Dolegna del Collio. A family business, including wife Adelina, has meant that we are always striving to do our very best.
It all began with the production and sale of our peaches, which with our wine, attracted customers from all over Friuli for the "Piarsolade". From there we were inspired to open the trattoria “Al Cjant dal Rusignul” (in local dialect) meaning “The song of the Nightingale”, which has been painted on the walls of the restaurant by dear friends Liusso and Cussigh. In 1999 we opened "The Guest House" where you will be welcomed like family.

To add to your experience we have created the "Vitae Path", which takes you on an adventure through the woods where you’ll learn more about Montebello and its history of vine cultivation, finally reaching the beautiful oak tree at the end where you can sit back and relax with a glass of wine.
